The 2005-2006 NCAA Bowl Season is upon us! This is the time of year when college football is at its best, and previously unknown players make big names for themselves. Tuesday kicked off with Arkansas State versus Southern Miss in the New Orleans Bowl, but Wednesday has the GMAC Bowl with UTEP facing off against Toledo. Thursday will give us two games, with the Las Vegas Bowl highlighting BYU and Cal while the Poinsettia Bowl will have the Navy Midshipmen taking on the Colorado State Buffalos. Friday and Saturday round out the first week with Houston facing Kansas in the Ft. Worth Bowl and Nevada travels to Hawaii and the Honolulu Bowl to face Central Florida.

This weekend has the majority of NFL games taking place on Saturday and the San Diego Chargers, coming off their big win versus Indianapolis, travel to Kansas City at 1:00pm EST. This is an absolute must win for the Chargers, if they plan to play in the post season. The only late game on Saturday has the Oakland Raiders traveling to Invesco Field at Mile High to take on the division leading Denver Broncos.

Christmas day will see Green Bay playing host to Chicago at 5pm EST. This game should be lopsided, however Brett Favre has been known to show up for the big games. The Minnesota Vikings head into Baltimore to take on the Ravens at 8:35 pm EST. The Ravens are coming off a giant Monday Night win in which the demolished the Packers and the Vikings are coming off a tough loss to the Steelers.
