Breeders Cup World Throughbred Championships
This year's Breeders' Cup World Championships will be held on Oct. 26-27 at Monmouth Park in Oceanport,
N.J. This will be the first Breeders' Cup to be conducted over two days. Friday's program will debut three
new $1 million Breeders' Cup races. The Championships will conclude on Saturday with eight Breeders Cup races.

The Breeders' Cup is comprised of 11 separate and sensational races that take place each year during the
fall at a different NTRA racetrack. This year, it will be held at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.
ESPN takes the reins again this year as the official television broadcaster airing all Big 11 races in
their entirety beginning Friday, October 26, 2007 on ESPN & ESPN 2.
In keeping with its star status as the ultimate in thoroughbred horse racing, the very first Breeders
Cup took place at Hollywood Park in 1984. Almost immediately, the race took on the glamour of the Oscar
Awards, giving the sport a high-profile and very much anticipated end-of-year finale.
A small Breeders Cup Tip would be to look at the three year olds who have performed remarkably at the
Breeders' Cup Classic, winning seven of the first 20 runnings.
