Matt Hughes Vs. ST. Pierre
The Ultimate Fighter finale was supposed to feature a bout between the two coaches from the season, Matt Serra and Matt Hughes. Unfortunately, Matt Serra backed out of the fight due to a back injury, and Matt Hughes is set to fight Georges St. Pierre in this month's other big UFC event – UFC: Nemesis.
The 170-pound title fight between ST. Pierre and former division king Matt Hughes
For a sixth straight season millions of UFC fans around the world have bet on competitors on The Ultimate
Fighters battle it out in the octagon and UFC fans bet on the latest stars in the UFC organization. This time
UFC will be able to bet on two coaches – ST. Pierre and former UFC
Champion Matt Hughes. The coaches now will have their chance to face-off inside the Octagon with the world
welterweight title at stake.
Eddie Sanchez vs. Soa Palalei
Sanchez is looking to string together back-to-back wins inside the Octagon for the first time in his career.
He knocked out Mario Neto in his UFC debut in September 2006; however, he suffered a setback (or shell shock?)
his next time out against Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 67: “All or Nothing.”
The North County Fight Club-trained fighter weathered an early storm in his most recent bout against Colin Robinson
at UFC 72: “Victory” in June, rebounding from a tough first round en route to a second round technical knockout stoppage.
Palalei is from Australia and currently trains with Dan Henderson at Team Quest. “The Hulk” competed in the PRIDE
FC organization back in 2004, losing to Mu Bae Choi via submission (rear naked choke) in round two. Since that
bout he has just one professional fight to his credit — a knockout of Shaun Vanof during a King of The Cage (KOTC)
event last month.
