Joe Calzaghe is the first fighter to hold the Ring Magazine super-middle and light-heavyweight titles concurrently and
Jones hasn’t exactly shined in the past four years, and has lost three out of his last six bouts against good opponents.
Calzaghe will have to deal with someone that is not only larger than him and used to carrying the 175 pound weight, but also
a fighter faster than himself. This is something that Calzaghe will have problems adjusting to. He’s always been the faster
fighter than his over-matched European opponents, but what will he do when he’s forced to finally face someone even faster
than himself
In the end I look for Calzaghe to just outwork Roy. He does need to be wary of Roy's counter left hook off the ropes.
Jones can give Joe a lot of problems with that punch. I think Joe wins a decision with a few points to spare. Maybe
a late round stoppage.
