2008 PGA Championship
August 4-10, 2008 - Bloomfield Township, Michigan.
The 2008 PGA Championship and its historic Wanamaker Trophy will return to Oakland Hills Country Club's
world-renowned South Course in Bloomfield Township, Michigan for the 90th PGA Championship.
Positioned 20 miles northwest of Detroit, Oakland Hills Country Club has hosted six U.S. Open Championships,
two PGA Championships, two U.S. Senior Opens and one Ryder Cup.
In August 2008, a world-class field competing in the 90th PGA Championship will find that the golf course has
been lengthened by 346 yard and even more challenging Oakland Hills.
The US PGA Golf Championship is the last chance for a major trophy and poor-performing champions
can not be discounted in their final attempt to 'turn their year around' or for those on top of their
game to continue their hot streak.
When Tiger Woods heads into the final round of a major tournament with the lead, the outcome is
always the same. Tiger wins. In the 2007 PGA Championship, Woods dominated from start to finish,
capturing his second-straight Wanamaker Trophy and winning his 13th major title overall.
The final leg of the PGA Tour’s Grand Slam will draw the biggest name in the game. Tiger Woods
will be there to defend against Vijay Singh (+2500) and Phil Mickelson (+1200), who the PGA
Championship in 2006 and 2005, respectively. Also Retief Goosen is at (+2800), who won
the U.S Open in 2001, which was also held at the storied Southern Hills Country Club.
Who will be the next PGA Galof champion this year? Only time will tell. one thing is for sure you
don't forget to bet on your favorite golfer for this years US PGA galf Championship.
Today the event is one of the four Grand Slam events (the other three being: US Open, The Masters and
The Open Championship) and offers huge prize money, for an example Vijay Singh won $1.25 million in 2004
after a thrilling play-off. Today there is big money bet on the USPGA too. Perhaps the most popular USPGA
bet is betting a favorite to win the event or even betting on the the Field, players who miss/make the cut
and the winning score.

Results 2007 US PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
The world No. 1 had a big advantage in experience and confidence from earlier success. He was 12-for-12 in majors when holding at least a share of the lead after 54 holes. He was 23-for-23 overall when he led by more than one shot going into the final round. And he averaged 69.25 strokes in the final round of his major victories while his playing partners shot 72.92. Wearing his customary red shirt in the triple-digit temperatures, Woods turned in a blue-collar performance at Southern Hills Country Club to win his 13th major championship. He shot a final-round 69 to finish at 8-under 272 and successfully defend his championship and win his fourth PGA.
